Difference between I-tickets and E-tickets

• You can book Indian railways tickets using official website of IRCTC www.irctc.co.in.
• You need to register yourself in this website.
• Using credit or debit card, you can book your railway tickets online.
• IRCTC offers two types of online railway tickets namely I-tickets and E-tickets.
• E-tickets appear online after booking and you need to take a printout and present during the journey with valid identity card.
• I-tickets are sent to the address provided in the online form.
