Dearness Allowance for Central Government Employees and Pensioners
It is assumed that the additional Dearness Allowance is likely to be 7% or more with effect from July 2012, making a total D.A. of 72% or more.
The above calculation was arrived at by monitoring the increase in AICPIN (All India Consumer Price Index Number).
AICPIN declared by the Labour Bureau for the month of April 2012 was 205 (Increased by 4 points).
Similarly, the AICPIN declared for the month of May 2012 was 206 (Increased by 1 point).
Additional DA is calculated based on the previous six month’s AICPIN (IW).
