DA from July 2012

Dearness Allowance for Central Government Employees and Pensioners

 It is assumed that the additional Dearness Allowance is likely to be 7% or more with effect from July 2012, making a total D.A. of 72% or more.

 The above calculation was arrived at by monitoring the increase in AICPIN (All India Consumer Price Index Number).

 AICPIN declared by the Labour Bureau for the month of April 2012 was 205 (Increased by 4 points).

 Similarly, the AICPIN declared for the month of May 2012 was 206 (Increased by 1 point).

 Additional DA is calculated based on the previous six month’s AICPIN (IW).
